Booking terms for Hotel Ísafjörð hf.

Hotel Ísafjörður hf. owns and operates two hotels, one guest house and a hostel. The company also runs a summer hotel, Hotel Torfnes (formerly Hotel Edda).

Hotel Ísafjörður | Torg, Silfurtorg 2, Ísafjörður.

Hotel Ísafjörður | Horn, Austurvegur 2, Ísafjörður.

Guesthouse Ísafjörður | Gamla, Mánagatu 1 and 5, Ísafjörður.

These booking conditions apply to all of these accommodations and Hotel Torfnesi.

HOTEL RULES AND BOOKING TERMS FOR INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS

1. Guests must check in between 15:00 and 22:00 on the day of arrival and check out by 11:00 on the day of departure. Late arrivals must be notified. If the guest / agent does not report a late arrival, the hotel can assign the room after 19:00 on the day of arrival.
2. All guests must give out credit card information at Check-in.
3. Children of all ages are welcome.
4. Pets are generally not allowed, but a dog is allowed in certain rooms that must be booked separately.
5. Gluten-free dishes are possible on request.
6. The hotel is a non-smoking area, but smoking is allowed outside. If guests smoke in the rooms, the hotel is authorized to charge for one night.
7. Parking is available at the building free of charge for guests.
8. Please note that hen and stag parties are not allowed at the hotel.

PAYMENT TERMS

A valid credit card is required to secure and confirm a booking.

We accept Visa debit and credit, Maestro and Mastercard cards without commission.

Cancellation terms

If the reservation is canceled less than 2 days before arrival, guest is charged for the first night of stay.

The same applies if a guests does not arrive without notice.

GROUP BOOKINGS

Group bookings apply to groups of 10 or more guests. Group bookings must be in writing and contain the following information.

1. Name of group.
2. Arrival date and estimated time of arrival if arriving after 18:00 and flight number if applicable.
3. Name and nationality of guests.
4. Number of rooms booked and of what type (single, double, twin or other).
5. Guides and drivers must be specified separately. For groups larger than 20 rooms, one single room is free of charge for the tour guide.
6. Information about meals and other services requested.
7. Bookings are only valid when they have been confirmed by the hotel. A valid booking confirmation is required and credit card number as a guarantee if a group is not booked through a travel agency.
8. Other services such as laundry or other services must be paid separately before departure.
9. Eight (8) weeks before arrival, the booking must be updated and all changes to the booking must be notified as soon as possible.
10. Six (6 ) weeks before arrival, the guest's room list, name and nationality must have been received.
11. If a cancellation is made after this date, a cancellation fee of the following amount will be charged:

                i.   6-1 week prior to arrival day: 50% of the total amount. 

                ii.  2 day - 1 week prior to arrival day: 80% of the total amount.

                iii. Less then 2 days: 100% of the total amount.

12.   Cancellations must be sent to lobby@hotelisafjordur.is for bookings at all our accommodation; Hotel Isafjordur  Torg, Hotel Isafjordur  Horn, Hotel Torfnes and Gamla guesthouses and Ísafjörður Hostel.

PRICES AND PRICE CHANGES

Pricelists are sent in a separate document and change between seasons and days, both for groups and individuals.

The hotel reserves the right to change prices if there are changes in economic conditions, such as exchange rate changes, inflation, increased costs of supplies and wages, taxes or other force majeure situations.
