Easter Ski Week in Isafjordur
The Easter Ski Week in Ísafjörður is famous for its cultural events, nature activities and great fun. And then of course, all the skiing.

Aldrei fór ég suður
Held at the Easter Ski Week, “Aldrei for eg sudur” is a rock festival. Its title, translating as “I never went south”, summarizes the heartfelt notion of the local residence of Isafjordur that they will never move south to the capital and leave their hometown.

Fossavatnsgangan
The Fossavatn Ski Race is one of the longest running sport events in Iceland. The race always takes place in end of April or beginning of May, giving cross-country skiers a nice addition to their season.

Við Djúpið
The music festival and summer courses “Við Djúpið” is held every summer in Isafjordur, offering series of concerts and master classes around summer solstice. Distinguished artists perform at the festival each day, concerts in the evenings with a wide range of compositions, classical, contemporary and jazz. The students also give concerts and appearances at the end of the festival.

Act Alone
Act Alone is a monologue festival held every year in the end of June. Admission is free.
